With ardent respect for Maa Saradamoyee

On the 22nd of December, 2023, on the auspicious birthday of Sree Sree Maa Saradamoyee, in a small but well-known suburb of the South 24 Parganas, Maa Saradamoyee Mission School commenced its journey, with a commitment to uphold the ideals and values of Sree Sree Maa Saradamoyee, Sree Sree Thakur Ramakrishna Paramahamsadeb and Biswabarenya Yogacharya Swami Vivekananda.

The school has received blessings from the Maharajas of Belur Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission, Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House and Cultural Centre, Kolkata; Saradapith Belur Math, Golpark Cultural Centre, Rahara Ramakrishna Mission, Kashipur Udyanbati, Kamarpukur Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Jayrambati Matrimandir, Ramakrishna Mission New Delhi as well as from international social organisation like Vedanta Society of South California.

Swami Jnanalokananda Maharaj – the President of Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House and Cultural Centre — inaugurated the School. Srimat Swami Smarananandaji Maharaj, and Swami Shastrajnananda Maharaj – Secretary of Belur Math and Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission — graced the occasion as special guests.

The mission of the school is to develop the next generation into well-rounded human beings in accordance with the cultural and civilizational values of our country. The school wants students to get rid of unhealthy competition, rat-race, psychological and moral degeneration, neglect of physical and mental well-being and all those drawbacks which pose a threat not only to the coming generation but also to the larger society and nation.

It is amidst this challenging scenario that Maa Saradamoyee Mission School begins its journey. The goal of this school is not just to impart education to students, but also to provide them with an environment of freedom and unfettered growth. From that perspective, this initiative is a small social movement as well. We appeal to people of all religions, castes and creeds to participate in this social movement.

Maa Saradamoyee Mission School is an English medium school, adhering to the CBSE curriculam. This session will witness the commencement of classes for students from play-school up to class VIII. The school will follow the formal curriculum set by the CBSE board, and simultaneously provide adequate facilities for the physical, intellectual, aesthetic and spiritual developments of students.
